Just as you wouldn’t go to a dentist for a heart problem, why take your Subie to a general auto repair shop when you can go to a shop that has specialized in Subaru for decades? And why go to the expensive dealership when you can get better and more customer-focused service and repair at a lower price at Suburb Service?
The team at Suburb Service really, really knows Subarus. You don’t have to pay us to spend part of our time learning how to fix your car like you would a general auto repair shop. We already know how because Subaru is all we do! After 25+ years of servicing only Subaru, we’ve seen it all. Our mechanics can diagnose and repair issues faster than the other guys without mistakes. That makes us not only better, but less expensive repairs for you. We also use only genuine Subaru parts, whereas general repair shops typically don’t.
Why should I avoid ‘quickie’ oil change places?
The primary reason is there’s a huge difference in the quality of the oil and filters offered. Suburb Service utilizes factory-recommended Kendall and Subaru oil filters, while the ‘quickie’ shops typically use high paraffin base oil because it’s the least expensive (and much less protective). And their cheaper ‘fit-all’ filters aren’t specifically designed for the make and model of your vehicle. Your Subaru is a major investment, and we provide the best possible service to ensure the longest possible service life.
What cars do you service?
We only work on Subaru vehicles from 1988 to brand new.
What services do you perform?
Suburb Service performs all factory-scheduled maintenance to keep your new car warranty valid, and we can perform any repair needed quickly and expertly. Except body work, count on us for bumper to bumper service and repair – including tires. You name it, we can do it while saving you money!
Does Suburb Service provide phone estimates?
Yes, but please remember that until we see and listen to your vehicle, the quote may not be 100% accurate.
How do I make an appointment?
You can make an appointment by email or phone, even on weekends! One of our highly trained staff members is available to answer your call from 6 AM to 10 PM seven days a week. Yes, we said even on the weekends! Your car doesn’t understand the concept of ‘weekend’, so we’re here to help whenever it breaks needs help. Have a question or concern? Call or email us today!
How should I plan the day of my appointment?
You can drop your car off in one of two ways:
Night drop-off: Outside our door is a metal box with envelopes and pens. Please fill out the envelope in full, including phone numbers and any special instructions for reaching you. Explain the problem or what service you need, then sign and date the envelope. Don’t forget to include your keys or the remote fob if you have keyless entry!
Morning drop-off: Come to the shop between 7 AM and 9 AM, fill out the repair order, and you’re on your way. We’ll get your requested service done that day, or if it s a repair issue, we’ll diagnose your car that morning then call you to discuss what we found. Our service writers take great care to explain issues in detail and be accurate with repair cost quotes. When the job is completed, we’ll call to let you know!
What’s included in your service?
We only complete work you specifically authorize. When you schedule a specific service, that’s the work we perform. If we discover additional maintenance or repair needs, one of our team members will call to make recommendations. You can make the decision to authorize additional services or not at that time, and we’ll never push. There are never any hidden costs or surprises when you bring your Subie to Suburb Service.
Do you have loaner cars available?
Yes! Among non-dealership shops, we have the largest fleet of free service loaners in the Northwest! Just call in advance to schedule your appointment and reserve your loaner car. There’s no charge, but we do ask that you replace the fuel used so the next customer can use the car without delay. Remember to bring a current valid driver’s license and a copy of your full insurance coverage. Should you have an accident in one of our loaner cars, you and your insurance company will be responsible for any damage to the vehicle. If you prefer renting a vehicle, we can call Enterprise and arrange for a rental at a low rate to be waiting at our shop.
What are Suburb Service payment terms?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, cash also works fine, and we accept checks with proper identification. (Sorry, no first-born children.)
Will your technicians treat my car right?
Most definitely. All Suburb Service technicians are ASE-certified, and the same mechanic will work on your vehicle every time you bring it in!
