I've only been to Suburb twice, but it appears to be great. My first visit, two guys in the waiting area were raving. So that already gave me confidence. They are friendly there. After my oil change on the first visit, they convinced me to do my upcoming 60K service on my '11 Outback with them for about 2/3 the price of the dealer. I did that and was *very* satisfied. They fixed my leaking sunroof perfectly too. The car seemed to actually run better and much more lively, and the service was quick and thorough. Nice to get a loaner too. I'm done with the dealers at this point. Highly recommend these ladies (and gents too).

I've been going to Suburb Service for 2 years now and they've grown to be a extension of family. When I moved out here 3 years ago I had to start over and finding a dependable, honest, shop and mechanic was a priority. It took a year to find them but I am glad I have. The characteristics that give them their reputation and success is they will be through with you, they will show you whats wrong physically, save the old or broken parts and explain the mechanics of why a repair...

We just changed to Suburb Service, after using other mechanics during the 240,000 miles we drove our 2000 manual Forester which we'd bought new in 1999. Here's why we changed: For example, the manual clutch on our 2000 Forester was shuddering the first two times we used the clutch every day. Debbie and Candy said, "Not to worry - it was put in wrong by the other guys but won't do any damage - it will just cause the morning shudders. Just drive the car until the regular time to change the clutch." That's terrific good news for us. For example, the automatic transmission on my recently acquired 2003 Forester was shifting late. I was told by my prior regular shop of 8 years to replace it - at cost of $1,000 for used or $5,000 for new. But Suburb Service test drove and explained to me why diagnosis of other shop was incorrect - and then Suburb Service did one free thing to bring that sucker into good operating condition, meaning I am still driving the old AT with no problems. For example, I had a loud roar from below the 2003 Forester. Debbie said caused by bad install of replacement catalytic converter by a different mechanic. Debbie had me go to a welder for a sound and cheap fix. A free loaner car is usually available, i.e., only sometimes do I need to wait extra day to bring in my car in order for a loaner to be available. This is a terrific benefit. Did I say free? Yes I did - just replace the gas you use - great deal. I recently lost my car key in their loaner. Two days later they called me to say they'd found it. Yeah, more good news. Suburb Service answers all my questions. This means a lot to me because I've been through 16 years of maintenance cycles / repairs with our 2000 Forester with other shops. The Suburb Service ladies are gear heads who enjoy their customers and seemingly derive satisfaction from keeping their customers on the road safely and affordably. Debbie and Candy seem to live Subaru - they speak in ways my other shop never did. Also, I never see anything but Subaru's on their lot. These folks seem to enjoy what they do and it feels good to be around them.

I so enjoy taking my car in to this shop and have come to trust them completely. Besides knowing how to fix notorious Subaru head gasket issues properly by getting engine surfaces filed level, saving me the need to purchase a new car too early, the routine work is reliable, efficient and friendly. What will I do if they retire???? This service is in contrast to the dealership garage, where no one catches anything outside of exactly what I (the uneducated) brought the car in for. The people at Suburb will see and think about your vehicle, though after so many years I cannot imagine how they stay as interested as they appear to be. Plus they are very funny and observant about life in general. GREAT SHOP!!! If I buy another Subaru (after the 200,000 miles they will help me achieve on this one), I'll be going to them for service!

Great service! Fast and friendly even when I only called in 10 minutes in advance to get my car battery replaced. Can't go wrong with the Seahawks stuff everywhere either.

Super friendly and honest service. Been coming for years and I'll keep coming back. Definitely would highly recommend. Only downside is that they are closed on the weekends.

Good shop, friendly service and good price for the 90K service. The loaner car for the day was also very helpful. Only complaint is that they filled my washer fluid with non-winter mix so driving out to Montana was a pain with frozen wiper fluid. Would think in the winter they would use winter mix given most people with subaru's drive in the mountains in the winter...seems obvious to me. But make sure you tell them not to re-fill your fluid! Do it yourself, its cheap.

Candy et al could not have been more thorough with trying to figure out what was going on, nor more thorough in helping sort out what was going on with my car. You have a customer for life!
