Subaru Recall – Legacy, Outback, Foresters and Impreza Models on the List!

A new problem has triggered the recall of more than 100,000 Subaru models because of a flammability issue caused by a pump that can run constantly. Is your Subaru on the list? Maybe. Did you buy a Legacy, Outback, Impreza or Forester that was new in model year 2007-2014?

Certain models in this range are affected by the recall. If you bought your Subaru new from a dealership, you're in the system and Subaru should reach out to you to let you know if your make and model year are part of this massive safety recall.

Legacy and Outback models that may be affected are 2007-2009. Imprezas that may be impacted by the recall are 2008-2014 and some Foresters manufactured in 2009-2013 are on the list. Only Turbo models are part of the recall and not every make or model will be recalled.

If you bought your Subaru used, however, the car maker has no way to know you own one of the affected vehicles. If you own one of these four Subaru models in the impacted model years, call (800) SUBARU3 to find out if your vehicle is problematic and register for notices.
