Our Gratitude

Our Gratitude

Image by Kati from Pixabay Thank You. In America, this month is all about Gratitude. Just as the first Thanksgiving was about appreciating a long journey to freedom and the people who came to share with us, November is a time for reflecting back on the year and showing gratitude for the people who helped us on our journey through life.    The past two years have been great for our Subaru shop. We’ve had wonderful adventures in auto repair. We’ve had a remarkable experience looking after our loyal customers and our new friends, too. We’re looking ahead to an amazing 2023, and considering how to grow ourselves over the next decade without losing the important things we l ... read more

Autumn Lookouts

Autumn Lookouts

Photo by Kevin Solbrig on Unsplash   With Autumn quickly moving in on the West Coast, we're starting to settle into a routine that begins each fall in Lake Forest Park. For many of us, it is born out of values we learned growing up. The Holidays are coming, and many of us still feel the implied threat of "better watch out"! We hunker down and focus on our work.   Instead of ensuring we get the toy we want, our rewards run deeper as adults. We're getting ahead so that the holidays don't get us behind. We're making preparations for our kids (or fur babies). We're making some slack for ourselves, so we can have a peaceful transition to winter.   October is just the beginning of this ... read more

Back to School Lookouts

Back to School Lookouts

Photo by moren hsu on Unsplash   Autumn is upon us, and with school back in session, our lives are going to get a little bit busier.  Summer bids us good-bye, but leaves us with new concerns for the Fall, many of which come from our kids returning to school.    We’d like to just say a few words about some of the yearly concerns we see, in the hopes of making this year safer and better for everyone.   The back-to-school period is a moment where we are suddenly reminded of how dangerous a crowd of kids walking together on a sidewalk can be for a driver. Children tend to run in and out of traffic when on the way home from school. It is important to be aware of your surroundings and make sure to stay safe ... read more

When Was Your Last Tune-Up?

When Was Your Last Tune-Up?

Image by Davgood Kirshot from Pixabay   The summer is nearly over, and we're all thinking about making the most of these summer months outdoors. It's easy to take our eye off the ball where our Subaru is concerned and forget to give it the attention it needs. When was the last time you brought your Subaru in for a tune-up?    If you can't remember, it's probably been too long. A tune-up is an important part of regularly scheduled maintenance for your vehicle. When you bring your Subaru in for a tune-up, our certified technicians will inspect and service all the major systems of your car. This includes checking the engine, transmission, brakes, fluid levels, and more ... read more

Lake Forest Events for July 4th!

Lake Forest Events for July 4th!

Image by Jill Wellington from Pixabay    Happy birthday, America! Our annual summer celebration of the signing of the Declaration of Independence is at hand! We hope you and your family have a wonderful 4th of July!   Independence Day is many things to many Americans. It’s a wonderful teaching moment for the history buffs-- civics, the three-ring Democracy, the Boston Tea Party, Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin, Crispus Attucks, Paul Revere, John Paul Jones, the crossing of the Delaware-- the list goes on and on.    For others, this is an important time to build character within our family. To the sons and daughters of liberty, it’s a time to reaffirm tha ... read more
